The Hive

"The nursery provision at Haven Children's' Centre is outstanding. The nursery is a magical place for children to be and in its stimulating, caring and supportive environment they thrive and develop a thirst for learning." Ofsted Report 2009 "The nursery is extremely well organised and expertly managed by leaders who inspire staff in their work and children in their learning" Ofsted Report, November 2011 "Children show extremely high levels of confidence and self esteem, and throughout the day the behaviour of all children is exceptional." Ofsted Report, November 2011

The Hive provides a caring and stimulating environment for 3-5 year olds.  Our existing prospectus information is still available, but the best way to see what we can offer is to come and take a look for yourself..  Please feel free to contact us for further details.

We regularly meet with parents to discuss activities we undertake in The Hive.  During October 2011, we invited parents to a series of meetings to provide more information about how children learn at Haven and the type of curriculum followed.  These sessions were a great success.  Jane (Nursery Manager) and Karen (Deputy Head) are always happy to discuss the curriculum and to explain how we go about helping children to flourish.  All children are allocated to a family group and key persons, which help the child grow in confidence and to feel secure.

Hive registration document available.

We are delighted to announce the opening of our brand new, large sandpit in The Hive garden.  This is over 4 times larger than our previous sandpit and will allow many more children to enjoy the benefits of play and learning with sand.

See below for some images of the work that has taken place during the summer of 2011 to create the sandpit.
